Fantasy Football 2018

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Just read an article about Adam Thielen on The Ringer where they said he wasn't as physically impressive or as athletic as guys like DeAndre Hopkins and Antonio Brown.

Like, I know Thielen is white, but how hard is it to look up this shit? Because it took me two seconds to confirm what I already knew...that Thielen is taller, faster, and more athletic than either of those guys.

It's because he's white. You guessed it.

Freakin' Packers cost me a win in my Survivor Pool. The other two guys both had them winning. On to week 7.

Yeah, it's silly. He ran slightly faster forty times than both those guys despite being about four inches taller than Brown and two inches taller than Hopkins. He bests Brown in all of the combine workout metrics aside from agility (56th percentile to 44th) and he marginally bests Hopkins in every metric except speed score (64th to 58th).

Note that the reason Hopkins registered a better size adjusted speed score despite being shorter is because Hopkins was about fifteen pounds heavier when they were measured, and it factors in both height and weight.

And again, it's just ridiculous that professional writers can't look this shit up when it takes me less than a minute to cruise over to Player Profiler.

6-0 to start the year. Feels like most years with me, do great in the regular season but team will lose to a ridiculous performance by another in the playoffs.

I'm in an 11 team 1ppr league...
QB- Cam
WR- Hopkins, TY, Golladay, Flash
RB- Zeke, Conner, Lamar Miller, Breida, Mack, Clement
TE- Kelce

Right now TY is stuck on my IR spot. I'll have to drop Lamar Miller or Clement if TY is actually going to play this week. Leaning towards Miller right now.

Season might depend on what happens with Bell/Conner. No one seems to want to trade in this league so haven't been able to off load Conner yet.

Hopefully Mack or Clement become a full time RB2.

Only move I'm regretting this season is dropping Jeffrey before he came back. Can't remember if it was for Breida or Golladay but would be nice to have Jeffrey too.

Better flex this week: Ito Smith or Jermaine Kearse?

Thinking Kearse but not sure.

Thought about benching Fuller and just playing both of the above too.

So I've been offered Adam Thielen for Sony Michel in a standard scoring league. I really want to take it, but it would leave me a bit weak at RB. Standard starters (1QB/2RB/2WR/1TE/1FLEX/1K/1DEF) and six points for QB touchdowns, not that it really matters.

Roster:
QB - Mahomes
RB - McCaffrey, Fournette, Michel, Breida, Jones, Lewis
WR - Hilton, Golladay, Funchess, Lockett, Cooper, Wilson
TE - Howard
K - Zuerlein
DEF - Who cares?

Thoughts?

Alternatively, I could probably get Tyreek Hill instead (guy said he'd trade Hill, Thielen, or Michael Thomas for a good RB), which would provide for some interesting stacking touchdown stacking with Mahomes. Not really interested in Thomas, as I just don't think he'll get the volume to be a WR1 this year.

You should make a deal. If it's standard scoring I might make a pitch for Tyreek instead, but either way you are getting tons of value back.

Yeah, I think I am gonna ask for Hill since I have Mahomes, which means I get 12 points for every Hill TD.

Fournette will be back. And if not, you could probably still get something for him.

Made the trade for Hill for the touchdown stacking. Thielen definitely has a higher floor, but Hill has the higher weekly ceiling plus the Mahomes factor, so that sold it. I expect both guys to finish in the top 5/10 at the position anyway.

Keep 4 players league: PPR

Sent away: Ezekiel Elliott and a 2019 7th rounder (3rd round after keepers declared)

Received: Antonio Brown and Mark Ingram

My next year's keepers will be:

Antonio Brown
Leveon Bell
Deandre Hopkins
Michael Thomas

Good trade, right?

I'd have gone for Thielen, but Hill should do you well.

Yeah, I was going to, but figured with Mahomes and the six points for QB touchdowns, Hill was a good call. Plus, if Hilton and Hill both go off the same week, I basically win automatically. :chuckle:

Oh yeah, also worth noting that we get a point for every 25 kick/punt return yards in this league as well, which went into my decision to choose Hill. Just forgot to mention it earlier.
