Sexton is like a shitty John Wall.
Our offense still seems really non-existent, hardly any ball movement, especially when things start going bad. When one guy (Cedi) has half of your threes taken ( 3 out of 6) that's not good. These mid-range jumpers will get us nowhere.
Also, Cedi needs to calm the fuck down the difference between when he plays settled, and doesn't force things, compared to when he tries to do too much is pretty major.
Also playing Ante in these lulls where we can't seem to score would be ideal.
It's just the construction of the starters. I think Cedi is a guys that can score in the flow of an offense with his skill set but once the ball stops he is going to struggle. Hood needs to be set up. Hill even though he is our starting PG doesn't set up or command the offense. Then you have two hustle guys in TT and Dekker who need plays to score anything.
Unfortunately, we don't really have a point guard at the moment who can consistently run the offense. So Cedi is going to have these rough periods relatively frequently. It's just the construction of the starters. Yep, it's just a lack of talent. Hood is the only one who can create his own shot on the team. Hill can, but he spends 80% of his minutes on the court checked out.
That was a sucker bet IMO, this is a good team. I bet a decent amount on the Nuggets, and then went heavy as hell when they were the 1.5 pt dog about 6 minutes in.Baxter Holmes ESPN Senior Writer
Schedule Alert! The Nuggets are playing their third game in four nights and the second of a back-to-back set today in Cleveland. After facing the Bulls in Chicago yesterday, the Nuggets headed out for Cleveland -- losing an hour along the way -- to face the Cavaliers, who enter this contest with a one-day rest advantage. Currently, the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook has the Nuggets as 4.5-point favorites.
