Baker Mayfield: Fire The Cannons

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I love how he repeatedly says it’s an opportunity for the team to band together/get closer and some dipshit still proceeds to ask “how can this turn into a positive situation for you and the team?”

Was it grossi or Mary Kay?

Is it bad I am developing a man crush on Baker?

The man just constantly says the right thing time and time again. I just think I want to cuddle with him, lol.

Holy crap does that man get it.

I'm going to the game on Sunday. I expect the crowd to be fired up, and Mayfield has laid down the gauntlet for his teammates. We're getting Higgins and Gaines back. It's against one of the best teams in the league, with a QB playing out of his mind.

But if the Browns manage to win in this game, it'll be Mayfield's team and town moving forward.

It kind of already is Mayfields town.

The kid was made for Cleveland. He is good, undersized, underdog, under appreciated at every level. He is a fighter, scrappy, and extremely competitive.

Baker is everything positive that Cleveland is, he could end up more popular than Bernie, and I am not saying that lightly.

Now that Hue is gone the stadium is no longer a no-go zone for you, glad it finally came around.

Absolutely true. Have turned down free tickets just because he was still the coach, and I'm actually paying for these.

That ypa keeps dropping no?

Makes sense. Our two best receivers (Landry, Higgins) are both best served in the slot, as they're not explosive athletes but they're great route runners. Our third best receiving weapon is Duke Johnson, who is going to catch most of his passes on shorter routes due to the nature of his position. Our vertical threat was supposed to be Callaway, but he's been pretty disastrous thus far with a ton of drops. That pretty much leaves Njoku as our lone consistent downfield threat.

Just seems strategically that we're looking at short routes rather than downfield a lot more often
