Definitely not for lack of trying on Sexton's part. I'd have concern if he's unwilling to pass, but he is very willing to give others opportunities. If you count the one he had, he would have had around 5 tonight, if the Cult hero Zizic could have either made his baby hook, or not fumble away a couple of them....lol...Actually he was looking more for his teammates at the beginning of the game more so then I had seen before.....I think going forward playing with Love he probably Guarantee 3 just playing with him and the future...
At the same time, he has not fear when it comes to driving daggers into the hearts of his opponents. I got to watch him live tonight and you could tell he's developing a feel for when he needs to take charge and when he needs to defer to others. You can also see him communicating to his teammates. He's clearly becoming a leader on the floor. Improving on D - I would love to see where he could go with a good defensive coach.
We know he works his butt off. And he's clearly got a fire and a desire to win. He may not be a #1, but I think he could definitely wind up being a pretty good #2. Put him with Zion (especially if Zion continues to show a better long range shooting stroke) and this team could be a lot of fun next year with hopes to turn it around in 20-21 with another pick and some cap space.
