The NBA is a business before it's a sport and entertainment. And in a multi-billion dollar business, honesty and integrity isn't in the mix. Big money is involved.. no time for virtues such as honesty and integrity. Big money draws slimy business men.

Griff said they were going to win the lottery before the order was announced.. how did he know. What were their chances of winning it again?
 
If I’m the Pelicans I’m thanking god. They don’t have to wait 15 years for their next guy, the lotto gave them their next heir out the gate. Now they basically have another shot at building around a star. Take whatever LAL give you and have a monster squad

Biggest loser in this draft is zion. If ad leaves then zion is in siberia for 4 years. His #1 pick now is in consequential. Means nothing for 4 years

If the deal with LA then he will be on a very good roster. La was willing to give Ball, Kuzma, Hart, and Ingram. That will likely be the deal plus they number 4 pick.


You can’t tell me that’s not a good base for a coach to start with

RJ Barrett and Dennis Smith Jr is a better package and the Knicks will most likely offer it. Now if Memphis takes Barrett, it throws a wrench in it for the Knicks. Morant and Smith Jr is overlapping talent.
 
Take Bol Bol. 19 years old and with a foot injury could miss next year and help getting a high pick so it is not lost to Atlanta.
