2019 NBA Draft Lottery

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I did find it amusing how depressed Zion looked knowing that New Orleans would be his destination.

Normally I'm the guy that opposes a player going "No I'm not going there" but that organization is trash and they have no fans.

It's just lose-lose for a guy like Zion. It's siberia.

At least with a franchise like us or Detroit? One can just point to the banners and go "See. We have fans and we've won things"

Dude...get out of there.

And for the NBA? Put the damn team in Seattle and call it a day.

the first mock draft I've come across have us picking hunter and hachimura

I think Hachimura is a real interested prospect. He is 21 but he has played very little high level basketball. No AAU and grew up in Japan. They say he has very little bad habits because Gonzaga go him so raw.

He might be the guy we look back on and question why people passed up on him.

At 5, it might be worth the risk. I like Hunter better but if he is taken at 4 and Koby takes Hachimura, I wouldn't question it.

I think Ja is pretty much locked into the Grizzles. They got their PG to replace the aging Conley and with last years pick, have the new foundation building.

The knicks will be interesting to see what happens. Barrett and DSjr for Davis sound fine, really fine for the Pelicans. Though, maybe the Pelicans don't want Barrett though and have their eyes on another players instead, but the Knicks are the landing spot for Davis imo with Kyrie joining him...........leaving the Lakers probably trading the pick for a Vet.....lol.

I don't see him making it to 26, I wonder if we can package JR to some team to move up for him? Hunter and Bol would make me pretty happy.
Hunter is crap. Just not enough ceiling. He is like a late lottery pick for a team on the edge of competing for the playoffs. His type of player come out every year.

You actually think the NBA wants Zion in NO instead of LA, CHI or NYC?

Insanity.
Why?

I'm not a business man. I wasn't around that table when discussing draft placements. I just know doo doo when I see it. I know lies when I hear them. Theres nothing genuine and sincere about this business.

But i'll let you believe everything is what they tell you and its all as it is portrayed.

Davis, Durant and Kyrie looks like a real possibility in New York next year.

He was looking at NYC or LA.

Pels and Grizz had 60 balls. LA 20. Knicks 140. So going into the break it was 50% Knicks, 7.2% Lakers and 21.4% each Grizz and Pels.

Zion undoubtedly wanted NY or LA. Instead Lakers come up 4th, so now Knicks go up to 54%. But then Knicks logo comes up.

The 5th reveal was painful. We had a 50-50 shot with the Knicks to jump into top 4 as we both had 140 balls. We lost.

...but in terms of showing the NBA why their new lottery reform was a horrendous idea that no one should have ever supported under any circumstances, it couldn't have gone better (except for the Lakers but I digress).

Silver listens to Bill Simmons' podcast too much. That is my take-away from his decision-making and public statements over the last couple years. Now he is publicly, seriously talking about a play-in tournament like the one Simmons has been lobbying for going back over a couple decades?

And this is after actually implementing a similar lottery reform to the one Simmons has been touting, especially after the Cavs won in 2014?

It couldn't have gone more splendidly for comedy purposes. But I'm sure the Pelicans tanking their last 16 games (went 2-14 to end the season) is a shining example of how you should never play to lose, right guise?

Take Bol Bol. 19 years old and with a foot injury could miss next year and help getting a high pick so it is not lost to Atlanta.
I dont want someone with a foot injury just to tank next year. 5th playerbin the draft. Take a quality player. We did pretty good at 8 last year

The league isn't too worried about Zion staying in NO.. just let him be drafted there, polish his game so he can leave to a big market more prepared to compete.

If I'm NOLA I trade the No.1 pick to NYC or MEM then trade AD to LA for the 4th pick, Kuzma, Ingram and a future 1st.
