I realize I sound like an old man telling kids to get off my porch, but I'm not a huge fan of the new style that I can only really describe as "vibe over substance" and I think that's what Cudi's part sounds like to me. He focuses on flow and vibe over everything else. For that, he did great. It's definitely a big departure from Man on the Moon. It's just not what I go out in search of.Cudi killed it. Not prime Eminem but his writing is hard to argue with. Beat was perfect. Just my opinion.
Whewww

At the ripe old age of 31, I think music has finally passed me by.I realize I sound like an old man telling kids to get off my porch, but I'm not a huge fan of the new style that I can only really describe as "vibe over substance" and I think that's what Cudi's part sounds like to me. Honestly, the "I'm mouthwash. Cuz if I was on the floor I'd (fluoride) swish" line was enough to make me smile and appreciate this song even if the beat/flow isn't the style I typically gravitate towards. At the ripe old age of 31, I think music has finally passed me by.
I loved Cudi back in college and have been listening to Eminem most of my life.
I think this song stinks.
I agree.Cudi killed it. Not prime Eminem but his writing is hard to argue with. Beat was perfect. Just my opinion.
I actually thought Cudi’s part had both vibe and substance. He nailed the flow while talking about serious shit:I realize I sound like an old man telling kids to get off my porch, but I'm not a huge fan of the new style that I can only really describe as "vibe over substance" and I think that's what Cudi's part sounds like to me. The second half of Cudi's part I agree with you.I actually thought Cudi’s part had both vibe and substance. He nailed the flow while talking about serious shit:
Have you tried Tidal?Looking back at some ultra underrated old shit.
Logic was so fucking good. Why is this stuff non-existent on Spotify? Might convince me to switch to Youtube Music tbh.
We’ve been fooled before but worth sharing anyhow.
