All the computer ranking systems has the cavs getting the number one seed and the best record overall. The cavs first 2 losses were in the first three games at Boston and at New Orleans. The next loss came at detroit and it was our 4th in 5 nights. The last loss came at Altlanta, Atlanta at the time only had one home loss plus we were without 2 key players. We have had victories recently over a finely healthy Rockets team by 9, and blew out the 3rd overall in the west Denver nuggets by 20+ points on their court. The Cavs also beat Dallas by 19 at Dallas, beat Utah by 12 and beat "playoff bound" bucks by 12 in cheese land. Further, the cavs have set the record for most 12 point vicroties in a row, and despite 2 more losses have a significant lead in margin of victory.
Celtics have a big test tonight playing at Lakers, the clear 3rd best team in the league. If they loose this one, we only trail by one game. Their two losses are less than steller. Blown out on the road at an "injured" Indiana and loss at home to Denver by double digits. They have reeled off 19 in a row, Including two impressive victories. They Blew out Detroit in Detroit, beat Orlando by 19 in Boston, NO by 12 in Boston and won in Atlanta by 3. They have almost as many "impressive" victories as the cavs, but their losses should have been wins.
The cavs have had a better start to the season when you analyze the two schedules. The 19 in a row is impressive, but only 2 of those games were difficult victories. The cavs have won 23 of the last 25, Have dealt with some injureiies in that stretch and only lost at Detroit and at Atlanta. Both close games, both on the road, both play off teams. I will give you that Boston has what we wont, the crown, but they know were coming, and believe me, they are worried. Barring any significant injuries....we will be the number one seed. Boston has alot more tough games to play yet than we do....including 2 in cleveland and only one more against us in Boston.
