That's why a good coach doesn't make the choice Kevin made there. He's been pushing his luck with Brissett all season, sometimes with good results but sometimes... well the win loss record speaks for itself. Brissett is awesome, he outperformed expectations, but what he did still wasn't good enough to end up with a net positive result in the only metric that matters, wins and losses. KS has been trying to run his offense through Brissett as though Jacoby is a better, more consistent QB than he really is. Stefanski was inexplicably guilty of doing it again yesterday, when he already had a perfectly good $230 million QB out there on the field. It was a very high percentage throw and when you see the replay you'll know exactly why it didn't work. An NFL quality QB has to make that throw and Jacoby missed it.
Imagine Andy Reed subbing out Mahomes for Henne on a critical 4th down play early in a must win game.
No matter how you slice it, KS chose the worst decision out of an array of better options. Trying to get cute on top of trying to outsmart everyone. Just play your best fucking players and design plays they can thrive in.
