To be clear, I was in Russell. Which, aside from Convenience Food Mart, had nothing. 306 to Bainbridge!Expat Bainbridger checking in. Off Chagrin road.
Here's a link to the live stream if anybody wants to watch. Historical moment.
Where did they think they came from?Spent over 2,000 hours flying surveillance aircraft and not once saw anything that ever made me think it was a UFO not from this planet. Anything I ever questioned was eventually figured out or explained after the fact. But I do know some really intelligent people, who I have flown with and have engineering backgrounds, reported seeing UFOs. Knowing them personally, if they said they saw it, I believe them, but none of us believe they come from somewhere off planet.
The ground!Where did they think they came from?
The ground!
And I like to think my wife is Ana de Armas. Kinda fun--but definitely not reality.I like to think they’re coming from unexplored areas in the ocean. Kinda fun.
Sci-fi exists to explore the possibly, however unlikely, that things like this could be happening. And I like to think my wife is Ana de Armas. Kinda fun--but definitely not reality.

While your snark is detected and appreciated, it doesn’t change the fact that things like The Abyss, The Expanse, Black Mirror, and Contact with Jodie Foster etc etc exist not only because people expect them to be reality but because it’s enjoyable/interesting to explore the idea that they could be.
You don’t need me to explain that, but there it is.
We were. You know what you did.Sorry, I thought we were discussing our government speaking on the topic of UFO's.
Your condescension is noted, but I think there's a different conversation where we discuss our favorite works of fiction, or why these works appeal to us.
You don't need me to explain that my snark isn't directed at invalidating your enjoyment of fictional works, but there it is.
