30 assists when leading guy had 6. That’s pretty good teamwork basketball tonight. 4 guys had 5+ assists.

This is a great indicator for Mitchell to understand we shouldn't need him to go hero unless it's the end of the game. Until then, keep the ball moving and play within the flow of a DG led offense. They need to trade Mitchell while they can still get good assets for him
Mitchell is a smart man. He sat there and watched how we played. If he cares like I think he does, he'll make adjustments to make this thing work.
I mean ideally we could keep the guy permanently and play like this.Mitchell is a smart man. He sat there and watched how we played. If he cares like I think he does, he'll make adjustments to make this thing work.
It parallels the current debate I've seen on social media/YouTube - would you rather have Iguodala's career or Carmelo's? Could make that Klay or Mitchell.Yea that's always kinda been the difficulty in debating players in the NBA.
If you have a bad team and you want them to be a playoff team, Mitchell is the better player.
If you have a good team and you want them to be a contender, then Thompson.
It's hard to rate which guy is ultimately the better player overall in those scenarios. We see that a lot though.

It's great to be the man and the best player on the Knicks for half a decade, and to score so many points. It's also great to be an important part of all the winning. And, most relevant to this discussion, prime Carmelo could not have helped those Warriors win the way Iggy did (or Klay).
