2023-24 Season | Game #53 | Bulls @ Cavs | February 14, 2024 | 7:30 p.m. | ESPN

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Ultimately I only care about being the 2nd or 3rd seed and not having to deal with BOS in the first two rounds. The record would be a nice bonus but really just about HCA and matchups
I would much rather be the second than third, but I agree, fourth is a disaster. You get a good first round opponent and guaranteed Boston in round 2. They need to gain confidence by beating up on the 6 or hopefully 7 seed. I actually want Philly to play OK without Embiid - well enough to stay higher in the standings because Joel coming back and facing him first round would be tough.

Having garland out there on the last defense possession could have gone very wrong

What a fingernail-biting game and nutsack-ripping game thread! So glad the Cavs won or there would be keyboard blood dripping everywhere on RCF for weeks!

First of all, VERY promising to see Garland play so well in the final minutes. This was the biggest surprise IMO and it's something we'll need from him more so Mitchell's back doesn't break.

Loved Mobley's and Okoro's defense down the stretch. Speaking of, I was sort of glad Niang fouled out when he did so we wouldn't have to see more of his lack thereof. Still can't wait for Deaner to return after the break so he can lock down some of the tougher opposition again.

I thought JA set some better screens tonight.

As for the Bulls, now y'all see why Coby White drives me nuts, lol. I think he honestly hates Vucevic and will only force-throw to him carelessly, as we saw tonight. I once saw him freeze out Vucevic for basically an entire game; I believe that was against OKC on opening night. He's a great shooter, but a rather annoying player in many ways.

And yes, DeRozan's flopping is also annoying.

So yeah, SO glad the Cavs won this. We can breathe a sight of relief for a number of days now.

I’ve seen enough of Strus over the years to know that he can go cold and miss great looks, but then get hot by making a really tough shot. He missed some great looks tonight. Again. And his defense is very slightly under what I expected. I’m glad Okoro got the nod over Strus at the end of the game tonight.

Okoro was fantastic tonight. JA played well. Don was great other than his shooting (0 turnovers). Garland came up clutch. Mobley wasn’t great but still had a solid stat line and played great defense on final possession. Struss was pretty bad. Niang at least brought some fire tonight. Caris was bad and then good.

No, Mobley played a solid game. The Cavs survived a horrible start the first six minutes and then had to overcome Colby White going nuclear. They scraped back in it with physical play, and Mobley was a big part of that refocused energy .

Great effort throughout all the bs in the second half. Everybody played tough in the end. The Bulls are tired of losing to us so I knew they'd bring it. Glad to go into the break on a high note. Can't wait to get Wade and Merrill back.

Happy Valentines Day everybody!!

Ballsy move from JBB and it was the right one. Also, JBB did a great job with his timeouts tonight
