2023-24 Season | Game #54 | Magic @ Cavs | Feb. 22, 2024 | 7:00 p.m.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We haven’t played well and don’t deserve to win but one team is allowed to play more physically than the other.
That, we're missing Mitchell, and we missed TT this game. Niang was a bit of a pussy tonight and mixing it up against other physical teams might be his highest and best use.

We can still zoom :gfight:

This loss comes down to two things for me:

1. The Cavs were without Mitchell, one of the NBA’s best players;

2. Without him, the playmaking duties fell to Garland, and his pound-the-rock style is the complete opposite of the ball-movement, pace-and-space game that the Cavs have been winning with the past two months.

He wasn't that slow. LeVert was worse and Porter sped it up for no gain. The bigs were low activity and it shows.

Gotta love game threads. One loss and people want to blow up the team.
I don't want to blow anything up just need a new head coach. This looked a lot alike the embarrassing beat down we all predicted last year heading to playoffs. JB just revert back to who he is.

Who would you like?

I'm not sure getting healthy with JB is a good thing. I really think he is at his absolute worst when he has to figure out rotations. We took off when we were down bodies and he really didn't have much of a choice on who to play.

Needless to say, we need Donovan. Garland has a knack for putting up a stat line that looks solid, but I just don't see a consistently positive impact on the game. He lacks a sense of urgency and force that tends to muck things up in the half court.

The ASG malaise is real with this team. Happened the past couple of years also. We are being given a golden opportunity to get the 2 seed and potentially set up a ECF run that could sway Donovan to re-up. Need to pick up the pace at home. 10 home losses already is too many for a team this talented.

Cavs deserve this loss. Garland deserves the bulk of the blame for how he ran the offense. This looked like an early season Cavs game
For everyone complaining about Garland, did you see how the offense looked when he wasn't running it?

Go down the box score and check the assist to turnover ratio for the rest of the team.

One thing that frustrates me about this website is that there are way too many fans who don't appreciate that the other team gets a say in how effective the offense you'd like to run is based on how you're defended.
