2023-24 Season | Game #54 | Magic @ Cavs | Feb. 22, 2024 | 7:00 p.m.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I know Don was out and this was 1 game but at this point I just want to finish in the top 4. How far will Philly fall and will the Pacers step up? I would be thrilled with a first round victory and probably get slaughtered by the Celts. Cant defend the 3 point line, lack physicality, most of our 3 point threats are on the bench, have a below average coach, and dont have a top 5 player along with a wing. Disaster 4 the playoffs.

Magic really closed out our three point shooters.

No accident Ice played well as he’s physical and we need that against Orlando. Don is physical of course and we need him against physical teams.
We really need Niang to play physical against other physical teams or I'm not sure why he's on the court at all.

I mean Mo Wagner lead the Magic in scoring tonight and he doesn't start for them.

Mitchell being out hurt because he's really friggin good, the Magic have a couple of really good perimeter defenders, LeVert's handle is really awful, and this board overrates CPJ by a factor of 100.

We called timeouts right when we had wide open 3’s in the first half.

I just want JBB to play the right guys. He can't adjust during the game at all. If Levert doesn't have it, then sit his him down. Merrill has to get 20 minutes every night and I'd almost say Wade too, because that would mean less Niang. Its just so damn frustrating he doesn't play the best guys.

I'm not going to defend Garland, he is still searching but time and time again the coach does not put his team in best position. If we can all see it, you know Koby does.

Oh and after next weekend we have a gauntlet the rest of the way

DG looks like he doesn’t fit any longer. There’s still 1/3 of the season left and the playoffs to see if that’s where we are. He might need to be moved but that’s a July issue. It’s February.

I think we’re overreacting to the past few games but that’s what happens in game threads.

I don’t think we’re close to Boston and I’m not convinced we’re better in the playoffs than other East teams. We’ll see.

We played a very atypical game tonight in a lot of respects. We never did get open three point looks.
I know he’s better than what we have seen of late, but his size and defense have always been a liability which in previous times were offset by his offensive output , both scoring and assisting. However, his nonchalance and pace of play clearly don’t fit with what worked best during our ascent to the #2 seed; but like you stated, that’s a July issue and now he needs to step things up and fit in (again)

There really are a lot of posters on this site who are happier when the Cavs lose. Like, they have it in their heads that JB is the worst coach in league history, or that the whole roster is soft, and they’re ecstatic about losses because it “proves” they are right … and they’d rather be right than win. It’s an interesting position to take.
They are soft until proven otherwise. And JBB is like the second worst coach in league history. Checked off 2 for u.

You are just noticing this now?

Not going to happen unless injuries or minutes restrictions determine the scripted rotations.
