2024 Season | Series #1 | Guardians @ A's | March 28-31, 2024

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I doubt the A's will have a worse record/ winning percentage then the NL 1899 Cleveland Spiders (20-134 .130 winning percentage)

Heck the Spiders lost 101 ROAD games that season....
I don't know. If any team is going to challenge that record it is the 2024 Oakland Athletics.

Bo Naylor gets a bomb today.

Think they'll have a couple homers today as a team.

Well Cleveland finishes it 4 game extended spring training today, hopefully with a win. Seattle will be a much stronger opponent, so we'll see how they do against a team that is as good or better, on paper that is...

Fortunately, we have 1 if not 2 Oakland-esque teams in our division so a hot start could go a long way... As I believe Cats pointed out SOS favors us quite a bit in the early portion of the season so hopefully we can get an extended run going here. I like our chances.

Baseball gods might even out our luck today but you gotta get wins when they are attainable and Oakland looks horrible right now.

Seattle and Minnesota are much tougher tests on the road so starting out 4-0 gives us some buffer room for those games.

Think they can do it.

Yes... it was something like 44 of the first 60 games are against teams not likely to be in playoff contention.. Before the start of the series.. if we were presented with a "...take 3 of 4..." chance.. for the most part, we would have accepted..

Greed is good !!

...and it's a beautiful day in the east bay.. sunshine galore with a few puffy clouds to break up the sky.. of course.. it's game four of the season with our Guardians looking to complete a sweep.. We have Paul Blackburn on the hill for the A's.. and Carlos Carrasco going for the good guys..

SB with no throw for Ruiz, and scores on a triple to right.

Freeman would've caught that ball... Maybe.

Straw would have caught JJ Bleday's triple... no bout a doubt it..
