I want Ronnie Brewer off that team. He's the perfect guy to get for what this team needs. Very long, very athletic, very efficient, young ect. ect. If we were parting with Hickson in the deal, I'd want Brewer coming back so we have something for the future, since Boozer is probably going to Miami this summer.
I always felt Boozer was over rated. He is about as bad as any pf in the league at D. He is undersized and not athletic. Yes he is good offensively, but last time i check defense wins championships. Also, he cant be trusted to resign here so there is no need to give up alot to get him and my guess because of that he just ends up walking and not getting traded this season.
If we want a pf from Utah, think AK47 not Boozer. He is available for what we have to offer. Not saying AK47 is the best option, just saying he is a million times more realistic for tons of reasons.
Ronnie Brewer, you say? AK? Well then let me give you this (It's a realgm trade, so it was more addressed what else should be added from Utah):
Utah trades: AK, Brewer
Utah gets: Z (buyout), Moon, Karl
Cleveland trades: Z (buyout), Moon, Karl
Cleveland gets: AK, Brewer
The deal saves the Jazz $3,891,667.00 off the bat (plus that money in lux tax), but here's the thing, once Z is bought out, the money put on the salary cap is the buyout amount (

I understand many of the posters of other teams don't like to imagine a buy-out of Z, but I obviously it would be beneficial for this trade.
As a refresher- here's something I wrote previously about it:
"Well in any trade that has Z would also include Cash to buy him out. It would also probably happen near or at the trade deadline. That's around 50 games into the season. I'm not certain how paying players works, but if it was a straight payment per game type, 50 games in would be 61% into the season. 61% of Z contract is about 7.04 mil. Let's say the Cavs include 3 mil to buy him out. He is now at 10 mil. Then he signs back for the vet min, ($1,306,455 - 77% of that- calculating in the amount of time he would have to wait) he would get about $300,00 more. A total of 10.3 mil. That's a little short of his full contract, but I don't think it would be a big deal to Z. If it was, we could sign him for the BAE or sign him for a contract next year and just have him not show up (if he were to retire)."
I think that this would be more than enough to get Utah to do the deal. I've only mentioned the savings this year, but AK is on for another year, and they would get even more savings then.
I could see the Cavs asking for more value, since, as I said before, AK is on the books for $17,823,000 next year. Brewer doesn't really fit the starting lineup, but he would be a great wing off the bench for the Cavs. Having a 6-man guard/SF rotation of Mo/AP/Lebron and then Boobie/Delonte/Brewer is pretty impressive to me. AK isn't as good as Boozer, but he plays better defense, has some range, and would fit in nicely with our team.
Let's say Z accepts a buyout to get them under the lux tax. This deal saves them 13.5 mil this year. Next year, they don't have AK or Brewer's salaries, but have Moon's. That's a difference of roughly $18 mil, for a total of 31.5 million dollars saved.
What is that worth to the Jazz/ Jazz fans? Is that worth the NY pick (probably 7-10 range)? I could see Jazz fans balking at that, though the organization might not. What about if Hickson went to the Jazz and the pick came back? What about Koufos (without JJ)?
I think this is a deal both sides could work with, but the value might need to be tweaked a little to get it to work.
What do you guys think?
