You probably know where this is going. I thought about joining the party and just having fun and making a trade of my own. Don't take this too seriously and crucify me or anything:chuckles: I just thought why don't we go for the best of both worlds? Instead of one why not two?
Cavs get:
Antawn Jamison
Andre Iguodala
Wizards get:
Z(buy out)
Dalembert
1st if necessary
Sixers get:
Mike James
Brendan Haywood
Delonte West
J.J. Hickson
(I'm not sure if the trade works out exactly money wise because one trade checker told me it works and another said it doesn't so idk. The Cavs can throw in the little extra bit of cash if need be. Either way it is close).
Why for CLE?
Because we basically give up J.J. and Delonte for Iggy and Jamison. However Z, Delonte, and J.J. ARE our three biggest/most attractive trading chips and we give them all up. I think it is worth it. Our flexibility is gone since all of our assets are gone AND we are tied down to big 3 and 5 year deals. We would just have to make sure that is serious direction we would want to go. You can count out getting any young players in the future that are "superstars" (or even all stars since Iggy isn't technically one), but we would be sure of already of having the talent to keep LeBron here instead of playing with free agency and trades in the future. You have to be a believer in Iggy with LeBron (which I am) and Jamison (which I am). I couldn't picture two better aquistions (semi realistically:chuckles.
I'm sure some of your initial reactions is that you wouldn't give up Delonte but it is worth it IMO. I love West as much as the next guy but he is a bit of a risk and you never know which Delonte will show up. Trading him wouldn't be that bad if it meant getting what we would be getting.
Why for WAS?
First and foremost they get rid of some players that have been complaining and they get alot of cap in return. Some of you might not think they are getting much cap at all since they are giving up two expirings already, but you have to understand Antawns 3 years are gone and they get the automatic cash (that they would get anyway) from Z. THAN they get another 12 mil next year so when you look at it they get quite a bit. Not to mention Sammy could help them there for the time being and brining SOME type of D that they are lacking in Washington.
Why for PHI
This trade makes Philly happier than any other idea I have seen with them and us while they give up Iggy. It seems like a perfect trade for them. They get a ton of money from Haywood and Mike James right away and they get two very talented young pieces that have short contracts AND are signed for small money. They get money and talent.
Ya it is crazy but it is fun to think about and look at. I don't think it is too bad of a trade. Every team in my eyes get exactly what they want. Man I love February:chuckles: I think the trade is interesting to say the least. I have seen worse.:chuckles: Sit back and enjoy this month.
