Re: #2 Orlando Magic vs #3 Atlanta Hawks

Holy Crap ! Hawks were decimated tonight ! Magic were firing on all cylinders ... Dwight Howard the guy is a freak all u got to do is throw the ball to the ceiling every time in the post and he'll finish !

This sounds like it woulda come from the same person as "LebronIsOn" who posted this comment in the following thread:

"Is this what are season has come to? Injury updates on Varegina?"

Or perhaps its just a realist stating his opinion.

Do we even want to play in the ECF against THIS?

Exactly dude, we should all fear for our lives. Even if we somehow manage to scrap it together and get past Boston we're just going to get decimated by Orlando, am I right or am I right? Lebron is then going to leave the Cavs for Miami and form the next super dynasty and Cleveland will be doomed to never winning a championship for the rest of its existence and the Cavs organization will surely crumble. Oh, woe is me.

Yes. If the Magic sweep, which seems somewhat likely, the roles are almost exactly flipped compared to last year. Magic sweep first two rounds, Cavs play lackadaisical in round 1, so far lackadaisical in round 2, round 3 brings what...?

Last years Cavs swept first 2 series, lost ECF. Meanwhile, Magic lose game 1 at home vs. Philly in the first round and is down 2-1 after three games, wins in 6. Magic down 3-2 vs. Boston, win in 7. Meanwhile, Orlando wins ECF.

It's not how you play before you get there, it's how you play WHEN you get there. Of course, we have some work to do to get there, but I'm confident we will.

You seem like a Magic fan to me...

Lol Now why you gtg and place the burden of judgement on me?

Im just saying it how i see it and im a realist ! They dominated the Hawks !

Im a Cavs Fan through and through despite the fact i live across the world from Cleveland i love em ! So dont see who you are to judge me

Re: #2 Orlando Magic vs #3 Atlanta Hawks

You guys will have easy way with Orlando if you beat C's. Celtics are bad matchup for you. Beat C's and you will championship. This 2nd round is like finals for you IMO

Re: #2 Orlando Magic vs #3 Atlanta Hawks

Everyone's making too much of the "path to the ECF" in my opinion.

I think the Cavs and Magic will both be ready if they make it to the ECF, regardless of the path they took to get there. The Cavs obviously have some effort issues to work on after last game, but it's entirely possible that they just underestimated Boston and were caught with their pants down. Boston shouldn't beat us if we bring it every night, so I'm not super worried right now. Concerned, not super worried.

The Magic are a team that can beat us if we bring it (just like we can also beat them if they bring it). I just want to beat Boston as quickly as possible so we can get going with what would be the most anticipated series I've been a part of.

I somewhat agree about our match-up with Boston, at least as long as we continue to not play JJ, but you can't be serious about Orlando. Right now they are the best team in the league...

Re: #2 Orlando Magic vs #3 Atlanta Hawks

Orlando hasn't lost since April 2 against the Spurs...I think they could sweep the Hawks but it would be interesting how they'd deal with their first loss in more than a month in the Conference Finals. Regardless we can't worry about that we just got to handle our business.

They remind me of the Cavs from last year. Playing great, loose, and having fun.

Meanwhile, the Cavs of this year remind me of Orlando from last year. Going through adversity, losing at home, "supposed" rifts between coaches and players.

But I've said this about 20 times already.

People keep mentioning this, but it's nothing like it. We were down 2-1 to the Phillies, the Cavs only lost a game to Chicago (on the road) because Rose decided to go off and the team decided not to miss. Boston had HCA over the Magic last year and we split one with THEM in the first 2 games, whereas this time the Cavs have HCA and BOSTON split the first two games. Last year that team also struggled with Boston because it was an inferior team more or less, and the Cavs aren't (they're just not playing well, which is different).

and that Pistons team < 2010 Bobcats and 2009 Hawks < 2010 Hawks (but then again, Howard alone > 2010 Hawks)

How is it nothing like it? Just because it's not the exact same scenario doesn't mean it's not similar.

As for the comparison of Pistons vs. Bobcats and Hawks vs. Hawks, I'm pretty sure we would have swept both last year. Maybe lost 1 game.

The ONLY thing similar is the score of the series (even so, like I mentioned, we split with Boston since they had HCA, you guys in this case are Boston... somewhat).

The Magic played their heart out in the Boston series. I honestly do not believe the Cavs have done the same because it does not look like it. Answer me this as a Cavs fan (since you have been following them for longer): Let's say the Magic played at around 90+% potential/health during the Boston series last year (which I'd say more or less is what happened), maybe a game or two they were only 70% or 80%, do you honestly believe the Cavs have been playing at 90%? or even 80%?
