Both left 4 dead games got free dlc and support community made mods/maps. Sure tf2 probably gets the most support of the lot, but they definitely don't just abandon games and completely move on. They also wouldn't dare charge you 15 dollars for something that was slapped together in a day. My beef with this game is they completely removed the ability to have community support so they can nickel and dime you for absolute crap. This garbage they call a stimulus package doesn't even equate to 1 standard patch valve does on a monthly basis for their games. I fail to see the apples to oranges argument you have presented to me. Valve isn't the only company, epic games routinely in the past gave out free booster packs for their unreal tournament franchise.Wow, who would've thunk that a top notch studio like Valve that doesn't have to worry about publishing rights can churn out new content all the time.
Yet, not surprisingly, Valve tends to neglect the rest of it's franchises and really focuses solely on TF2.
I'm not saying TF2 is a bad game, or Valve is a bad company. But you're comparing apples to oranges here.
