Interesting that the most difficult division in MLB this year had both WC entrants ousted in sweeps all while scoring one run each in the two games.

interesting that Berrios was pulled after what, 3? Innings of shutout ball? Managers really seem to overthink the playoff decisions

Twins just put up 4 runs in the top of the 7th (back-to-back jacks by Polanco and Lewis [his 3rd this postseason]).

5-4 Astros up in B7

Braves offense is better than 95 Indians. And good pitching beats good hittibg

Atlanta was supposed to have both though. Would be kind of crazy for them to be out in first round with what a powerhouse roster they have.

Well after 1.5 innings Arizona is up 9-0 over LA in GM 1.

Plenty of time for the Dodgers to mount a comeback. Not saying it's going to happen, but it would be epic if it does.

Edit. This thread is in the wrong spot.

Atlanta's pitching is kinda suspect, not why they lost today. Their bats were ice cold. Interesting, they broke all these records. And every hit they got was just a single.

Can happen to any offense though. Indians in 95 were shut out in game 6 of the world series. Only one hit. But, they went against Tom Glavine. Pretty freakin' good. They only gave up 1 run themselves. That's baseball for ya.

I don't think the Braves pitching is as good as ours was in '95. Ours was pretty underrated that year, and kinda over looked, not great, but good, the bullpen was outstanding that year. Years later not so much.

Clayton Kershaw’s ERA is 162.00. I’ve never seen one that high

In that game Tom Glavine was getting strikes called a foot outside.

Do we really need to dredge up these horrible memories? I still see those called strikes in my sleep
