2024 NBA Playoffs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You live within pissing distance of Barclays and you ask that question? It’s the Nets. They’re idiots. (Assuming your question is rhetorical only; otherwise you need a wellness check).
I do have both my kids home today and trying to work lol lol lol - a bit of sarcasm/ rhetorical...

The Nets qualify. Trade Trae for Ben Simmons. Nets would do that deal. Hawks should then tell Simmons not to bother showing up. His contract expires in a year so Atlanta would be off the hook then.

Or the Hawks could call then Nets and sell them on the idea that Ben and Trae would be a perfect backcourt duo and grab DeJounte and other assets. Not even the Nets are that stupid — are they??
that first deal could actually work. The Hawks might ask for someone else plus Simmons to make it less obvious they are just dumping Trae. But the desperate situations of both teams might make it possible.

I know - just trying to lighten things up around here. The tone around the upcoming playoffs is as if the Wehrmacht was at the border. On second thought, that’s unfair to nations overrun in that conflict. Even the French held out for six weeks. We have people waving the white flag ahead of the series starting.

Simmons is a multi-time all star and former #1 overall pick. It’s a steal for the Hawks!!

Trae is like a video game curse item that weighs a ton and slows you down until you get rid of it. So is Ben of course but he’s only a one year curse instead of three. But I’m all for the Hawks asking for more for Trae.

I was thinking about this also last night. I don't think anyone likes playing with Trae. He's lazy and selfish. There is no indication that he's a winner. Why would a team invest that kind of money and time in him? With that many years left, its not even a contract you can take on to start a rebuild.

I could absolutely see the Bulls trading LaVine for Trae. I could also see them trading something based on Ball’s expiring plus filler.

How is Trae different from DG, though? Same size, same skillset, same defensive issues, These types of players are worrisome in this modern NBA.

They are entertaining during the “fun” times of not having winning expectations but their flaws are highlighted if the team is trying to seriously compete.

Trae brought Atlanta to the ECF his rookie year tho…

Embiids' knee won't get him thru the Knicks series.

Dude in Miami is wearing a shirt “Bet on Women.”

If Jontay Porter had done that he’d still have an NBA future.
