I thought it might be fun to look back on one of the many great days in OSU history, Saturday, Oct. 5, 1995. On this day in Columbus, Ohio, our beloved buckeyes ran rough shot all over the University of Notre Dame to the tune of 45-26. I have found memories of the Buckeyes just beating the snot out of the Irish, dominating them in every aspect of the game.

Below is a picture of Eddie George's TD run with the gold domers in pursuit. What are some of your favorite memories from the game? Any pics you have would be great! Rep points for anyone who posts a pic of the final score board. That would be so awesome!

My greatest memory is knowing that Notre Dame has more wins and more national titles than OSU.

11 National Titles.275 All Americans, 7 Heisman winners.

Ohio State has only 6, around 150 All Americans and 5 Heismans.

I couldnt find wins...but no doubt Notre Dame has many more. So please...keep going on about that history.

You put it on paper and Notre Dame makes OSU look like a baby.

but right now notre dame is nothing.ohio state is gonna be better again than notre dame.

i remeber before this game, lou holtz was asked what he thought of the buckeyes team. the two previous games the buck scored something like 73 and 71 points while holding the other to near shut outs. he said well itll be a tuff game. wrong. :thumbdown

Everybody has their ups and downs.

But this thread was a direct shot at me, and I shot it right down the gutter.

If you wanna talk smack, cstyle is gonna have to bring it harder than that. College football isnt something you can talk in the present sense.

So this thread is a :thumbdown

OSU has a nice little team, but thats about as far as that goes.

Yep, here's the troll taking it off topic. The thread's about Saturday, Oct. 5, 1995, not ancient history.

Keep on posting, A Mac. Keep proving me right. Keep embarassing yourself. Now that I've called you out for what you are, I can appreciate your asinine comments.

lol. You tried to take a direct shot at me and expected me to let it fly?

And the sig too, direct shots at me.

You can say im a troll all you want, bottom line, Ill do whatever I want. I can call you a troll and taking your posting rights away like that...but im not a dictator. You can post whatever you want as well, I dont care.

Im not gonna cry on a message board about another poster being a troll because I dont like what he is saying.

I havent embarrassed myself yet...so another useless statement by yourself.

I was a Frosh at Bowling Green. A bunch of us went down to Ohio State (both years vs. ND) to party. Great times being in a town where every single soul in that town is rabid. I remember walking down the street after the game and my one bud went to high five this other guy....they whiffed and my friend's hand hit the gu in the armpit (and the guy was shirtless). My friend just looked at his hand for a moment, then slammed up to him for a hug....not to funny when telling, just had to have been there.

You gotta admit my sig is funny! :chuckles: I was reading a story about the ND-OSU game, and apparently some guy wore a tee shirt that was just "_ _ _ _ Rudy". Classic.

I dont find it funny...the dude earned his.

Maybe if there was something humorous about Rudy, but its just a weak shot at me..

rudy was a beast. thats why i have watched the movie over and over. but its sad when people think of notre dame they think of a guy who played in one game.
