What really bothered me was Daniel Gibson barely playing with LeBron. Mike Brown starts Ira Newble and then waits until LeBron gets his rest to put Gibson in. Gibson stretches the floor for LeBron and is dependent on LeBron to get open shots. Starting Newble is fine as long as Hughes is hitting jumpers but when he isn't, the Hughes/Newble backcourt just cripples LeBron's effectiveness.
Another thing that bothered me was Donyell Marshall having to play 20+ minutes. That, combined with Dwayne Jones being the first big man off the bench really shows where we are as a team. Marshall has nothing left in the tank. Gooden has lost his offensive mojo so he isn't even half a big man. Poor Z is our only complete big and we'll have trouble winning anything without Varejao. Maybe the answer is to play Newble or LeBron at PF more.
Violet Palmer had an awful game. It seemed like every questionable call against the Cavs came from her. She is even worse than that dude that called the jump ball when LeBron got mugged by Hedu Turkoglu earlier this year.
Also, I will never sit in "Loudville" again. That was the 2nd game I've sat in there and both times I had kids screaming in my ears and kids smacking me with those noodle noisemakers. Apparently you take your kid to Loudville if he is an uncontrollable monster.
