Every member on this board could probably write a 5 page essay on what just happened, but I'm so full of emotions I simply can't type that much right now.
After the game I was mentally exhausted and I thought I might even be able to sleep through the pure adrenaline I was feeling right then. But I just laid back and thought "What just happened"? 25 straight points (I believe, and something like 29-30?) That is truly unbelievable. 25 straight. I want to watch those final 12 minutes or so of him driving, shooting, taking on double team after double team, fighting through defenders and running the floor. Nonstop. What we just "witnessed" I don't think has happened in the modern day of basketball. Kobe cannot say he did this. Game 5 of the eastern conference finals against a team no one thinks we can beat (outside of Ohio)--he takes on all 5 pistons. Everyone in foul trouble, everyone mentally and physically exhausted, LeBron does it himself.
A teacher of mine is a 100% Kobe backer. I've spent countless days staying after 2nd block (late for 3rd block) talking with him who was a better player--Kobe or LeBron. Today, he announced--LeBron is the best player in the NBA right now. Coming from a pure Kobe fan, that's saying something.
What we just saw is something of a fairy tale. Hollywood couldn't write a better script. 25 straight---if it was in a movie would you believe it? No, never.
Thank you LeBron.
Remember that kid with that shirt reading "5 Aces beats 1 king"? Really?
