"Create your own NBA All-star team with $15" post from FB - Who would you choose?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think the best line ups have already been discussed so I'm going to try to come up with a really fun one.

Westbrook
George
Durant
Smith (He had that one year where he didn't shoot jumpers, that was his prime)
Garnett

I tried to come up with the most athletic, most freakish defensive team I could. We would just dunk on fools, pick their pockets, block their shots into the 7th row, and let Durant bomb from 3 point land.

Deron Williams
3 and D player for $1 (not JR Smith)
Kevin Durant
LeBron James
Dwight Howard

Healthy Dwight doing nothing but rebounding, dominating the paint and setting screens for Durant and LeBron. Oh boy.

If I have to stick to the rules though:

Deron Williams (1)
Paul George (3) or James Harden (2)
Kevin Durant (3) or LeBron James (5)
Dirk Nowitzki (3) or Chris Bosh (2)
Dwight Howard (5)

Unsure as to which team I like best. Dwight with Dirk and KD spacing the floor would be lethal, but if we take the 3 point shooting version of Bosh and add LeBron....

Yeah, if we can just pick any 5, I'd probably go with . . .

PG - Deron Williams
SG - James Harden
SF - Kevin Durant
PF - LeBron James
C - Tim Duncan

Although keeping Cousins and sliding LeBron or KD to shooting guard is tempting as well.

Deron Williams - $1
Kobe Bryant - $5
Kevin Durant - $3
Amare Stoudemire- $1
Dwight Howard - $5

Deron Williams (1)
Paul George (3)
LeBron James (5)
Kevin Garnett (5)
Brook Lopez (1)

Spacing, synergy, and defense wise, I think that team would be absolutely deadly if everyone was in their prime.

LeBron = 5
Harden - 2
Westbrook - 2
Dirk - 3
Hibbert - 3

I just did this before looking at anyone elses but I'd be utterly shocked if a single person had Dwight Howard on their team.

Looks like no one did pick Howard.. but I should have said I'd be almost as shocked if anyone had Bynum and someone did.

And get some 3&D guards off the bench :chuckles:

*edit* If we can move their positions:

Deron Williams - 1
Paul George - 3
Lebron James - 5
Chris Bosh - 2
Tim Duncan - 4

Bosh at sg??! Why

Bosh at sg??! Why

It'd be a team in which guys could play multiple positions. But if anyone would be SG with that lineup it'd be George (or Deron/Lebron could at times). Why the hell would you think I would have meant Bosh at SG there?

I win :D

This is pretty easy for me
Russell Westbrook - 2
JR Smith - 1
Kevin Durant - 3
Lebron James - 5
Tim Duncan - 4

JR smith is kind of the odd man out, but since he was an elite scorer in his prime, it makes it an OK one. Westbrook is the most athletic PG that's not a healthy Derrick Rose, and he is lightning quick and never misses a game. Durant and James, no explanation needed. And Duncan has shown he can hold down the middle throughout stretches of his career, besides, its an all-star game, people can play out of position.

I'd also like to point out that no one has picked Derrick Rose or CP3 yet... Also not chosen: Carmelo, Rudy Gay, and Wade
