At first I thought the site was just running slow, as pages were taking forever to come up, or just timeing out entirely. I did a quick speed test, and I'm getting 4.5 M downloads. Then on a hunch I try RCF on IE and it comes right up, works fine. Any idea why firefox is no longer working? I've been using ff for years to view rcf without incident. I don't think I've I've applied any upgrades to firefox lately.

Site is loading slow for me on IE.

Firefox is working great for me.

The site works well for me on Firefox also. Not sure about IE because I don't have that browser installed on my computer. I'll talk to some people and maybe they can tell me what the problem is.

Today all is good. Pretty bizarre, I tried it on two different machines yesterday, and both would time out about 60-70% of the time when I clicked on a RCF link. Since it wasn't isolated to one machine, perhaps it was an issue in the routing from where ever RCF is hosted to NC? That would make sense why users up north wouldn't have the problem. I should have did a trace route I guess.

Oh well, as long as it continues working no worries.

I think I've determined that the issue is not firefox, it's internet connectivity, and only from my home to RCF. Home to any other site works great. Anywhere but home to RCF works. But home to RCF times out.

James, did you send Glen the email I sent you last night? I emailed James the trace route (from tracert) to pass on to Glen, as I had no access to the site to PM Glen, and I don't have his email address. Anyway, if you could do that James, it would be great. It shows where accessing the site was failing. I would do a trace route from here, not home, and post the results, but it would do no good as here is not home. And I didn't save the tracert results from home that I emailed to James.

For a while I couldn't seem to reply with the quick reply box. It kept timing out. But new reply worked well. I'm using firefox... Maybe it has something to do with how firefox deals with packetloss and/or timeouts.
