Game 3 | Cavs @ Wizards - 5:30 PM--ET - TNT/FSN Ohio

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
That was the biggest shot of Sasha's career so far. :hail:

HAHA, Sasha with a last second block on Songaila, I think it was. Yeah, he made a bunch of mistakes, but having a backcourt with 2 guys who both facilitate ball movement has been priceless.

Sasha has a terrible foul and horrible turnover and then immediately follows it up with a clutch three and spectacular block.

I gladly eat my words.

Pavlovic with some big plays at the end. Glad he redeemed himself after looking awful for most of the game.

Sasha looked distressed after his two absolutely moronic plays. But Mike Brown sat him briefly than told him to go right back in. That allowed Sasha to redeem himself and get himself back into the right state of mind. It was a gamble by Mike Brown but it paid off and was an excellent coaching move.

I think that is probably going to be Sasha's playoff turn that most players go through. He hasn't been effective the entire series and it was getting to him. Mike Brown knew it and pretty much gave him his mental edge back by giving him a chance to redeem himself. I have feeling that single move is going to pay off for the rest of the playoffs.

I almost feel more frustrated then satisfied after this win. It's inexcusable to come out in the 3rd quarter with that type of effort. Did the coaching staff take naps at halftime rather than prepare the team for the 2nd half and make some adjustments? After building a 17 point halftime lead the Cavs needed to come out and stomp on the Wizards to stop them from having any hope.

Big game from Z. He's been very good this series. Nice game from LeBron. I'm not crazy about the standing around watching LeBron and Larry pound the ball on the perimeter offense that was used much of the 2nd half though. It worked occasionally but isn't a recipe for success as the playoffs go on.

Nothing from the bench once again. Cavs are going to have to get some points from there.

It's a win and hopefully the Cavs go get the sweep Monday. It would be a very different story against a healthy Wizards team at full strength though.

well the cavs pulled it out

letting the wizards come back in the 3rd and giving up a 17 point lead is inexcusable

we've done a terrible job "defending" Jamison and Daniels this series

If we shut either down game 4 is a cake walk

the other thing worth mentioning is today's game exemplified not only what was wrong with Brown a small step in the right direction

when we were getting killed in the 3rd he tried to shut down the Wizards brining in Snow/AV when he made no adjustments offensively -like going to Z in the post

I will give him credit in giving Sasha achance after he gave us little today until the 4th quarter

lets hope he gives Gibson more rope as well.

The 3rd quarter shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who has followed this team at all this year. They've just had a tough time all year coming out of the locker room with energy, especially against lesser opponents.

That said, they did what they had to do and won the game with tough defense in the last 5 minutes. I for one am not complaining at all. A 3-0 lead and a chance for the sweep on Monday. Get out the brooms Cavalier fans, and then smile at the 5 or 6 days of rest this team will be getting before Round 2. Then we can personally thank the Nets for getting us the #2 seed by kicking the crap out of them too.

Basically tonight is a bona fide Cavs win in the 06/07 season.

Had a lead, lost their concentration, and pulled it out after making it much harder than they had to. Think back on this season, how many teams did we blow out that allowed us to rest our starters for an entire quarter? Maybe 2. This is a team that classically plays down to their competition and easily forgets what gets them leads.

It's not a good recipe and I think this team has passing interest in this series right now and just wants to get onto round 2. This team thinks it's like the Lakers teams of Shaq/Kobe that just turned it on when they had. Whether or not the Cavs can remains to be seen.

When they are on, the Cavs can play and beat anybody. However, about 60% of the time they do just enough to win and that's not good in the playoffs.

Wow Cavs had all the energy in the first half, the Wiz responded in the third, but the Cavs held on. Whatta game!

Miss the game because of the Tribe game I went to so can't say much about it besides we got the win which in the end, thats all that counts.
