Health & Nutrition Thread 2023 LFG!!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What you guys like to put in your smoothies these days?

I've been going with 2 scoops vanilla protein, 2 cups unsweetened almond milk, handful each of pineapple, mango, strawberries, 1 banana, 1 tsp of tameric, 1 tsp ginger, ice cubes, cup of kale, cup of spinach, and half cup of walnuts.

I usually skip breakfast during the week and fast from 8pm - 12pm. I feel good, don't over eat at night, and I share half of the blender with a roommate. I'm at 210 moving around, aiming for the 10k steps a day thing, now and hoping to get 170-180 again, then start lifting. Not sure if I'm doing it the wrong way or not, but I feel good throughout the day since incorporating that smoothie.

I'm walking three miles a night now after little dude goes to sleep. I asked husband to get a cheap home treadmill, and it's been great. I walk for an hour before bed at 3 mph, and it's super easy. I just plug my headphones into my phone, listen to electronic music for an hour on a Spotify app while on the treadmill, and it's done.

Food: less appetite these days as I approach age 39. Cut down the sat fat when my LDL started approaching triple digits.

I'm still at a normal BMI, though not as light as I was before I produced little dude. Went from 5'2" 120 to 5'2" 135. It's been falling gradually since the treadmill and the appetite drop.

I am looking to add creatine to the supplements I am going to take.

I know how good creatine is for building muscle but the question I have is

should I just get creatine or one that I am looking at has creatine + HMB?

how much of a difference does taking HMB?

interested in hearing others results.

@zDawg45, when considering adding creatine to your supplement regimen, it's important to make an informed choice. Creatine is known for its muscle-building and strength-enhancing benefits, making it a popular choice among fitness enthusiasts.
However, the decision between creatine alone and a combination with HMB (beta-hydroxy beta-methylbutyrate) depends on your specific fitness goals and preferences. Creatine can help increase muscle ATP levels, leading to improved performance during high-intensity workouts.
