I was always meh on West, but I gotta give a lot of credit to the guys who said "no way, no how," and cited his empty stats and poor defense as proof. He had some nice baseline jumpers that game that he made look easy, but I hate the way he plays the game.

So passive in defensive rotations and doesn't really seem to care much. And for as much as we heard how poor of a defender Jamison is, he has been pretty much average on that end of the floor. Most importantly, he's giving effort on the defensive end. He's getting a steal and a block here and there and is hustling to get to his position.

Ultimately, Jamison is a better acquisition than West.

West has a shot and some post moves. My reason for wanting the guy at the time was his contract, goes down over time, and his age.

I never thought we had a real chance at him though.

Of the two, I wanted Jamison since he has playoff experience and attitude. Seriously, any 4 with an outside shot and some D will look amazing coming into our system but you can not underestimate the strength of experience.
