So I don't know how much of a factor DO is going to make this season ?
I bet he will be the third down back and get around 5-8 carries a game as a backup.. I really think Foster is more effective with 14-18 carries.. He isn't he grind it out type that John Fox wants..
IF Foster goes down and DO gets the nod, the first couple of starts, I don't expect him to get a lot of carries.. Expect them to throw the ball until he gets adjusted to starting.. Once he gets the rookie mistakes out of the way, then look for (like I said) 15 carries, 85 yards, and a TD..
The thing that makes him THAT much more valuable, is the fact that he can the ball out of the back field.. If I am correct, I think he was 1st in Total Yards last year, ahead of Reggie Bush and Jerome Harrison..

Maroney will be a stud, but it's going to have to wait a year or so (unless a injury of course)
They drafted him, knowing that Dillon doesn't have more than 2 years MAX starting.. You could see it last season that he started to slow down.. With all the mileage and hits that Dillon has taken, I don't expect a big season for him, and for that matter, many carries..
That's why I think Maroney will get a chance to prove himself.. I think his situation is VERY much similiar to the Pats.. Belechiek (sp?) wants to grind it out, but with the defense not being as stout, he's going to have to pass a lot more oftent.. Thus, creating less carries for the RB's.
But I think just like Williams, again, Maroney is a player.. He's gonna work to get on the field any way he can..

Addai will be huge for the Colts.. The Colts offense is predicated on one thing, PLAY ACTION... Their run sets up their pass more than any other team in the league..
Correct..
But the key to their offense is the stretch play.. If that isn't working, the defense can load up on DB's.
And the thing that makes Addai so effective in that offense, is that he has the speed to break outside, but the power to turn it inside.. Something that Edgerrin James showed, and that made him pretty successful..
His good hands out of the backfield don't hurt either.. Which makes it easier for him to rack up points fantasy wise.. It gives you more opportunitites..

Addai is far superior in terms of pass blocking, so I definitely see him getting atleast half, or the bulk of the carries...
He has a big edge in that department.. Most rookie RB struggles with blitz pickups, but because of that, he'll see increased playing time..

He's my 3rd back, so I'll wait and see, but I do believe by week 3, he's the starter..
I'd be A LOT more comfortable with him as a 4th back.. I just don't know what t expect.. Dominic Rhodes isn't that bad of a RB himself, so it isn't like Addai will just take it away..
Both of them will have to work for it..
The thing I don't like about this situation, is that you really don't know what you're gonna get from either.. With this competition being so close, you don't know who is going to get the majoritiy of the carries.. So when/if you do start him, you better make sure he's gonna get his share, or else your screwed..
