Josh Smith?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Who even knows if "little to no interest" is just Windhorst blowing smoke or actually true? We could have interest in him and Windhorst just doesn't know or isn't saying we do...

Ben Wallace and a draft pick for Smith and Claxton would work financially. Claxton is this years Eric Snow (80% of his contract will be paid by insurance), so taking them both only costs us about $1 million more than just Smith, but what it does do to sweeten the deal for the Hawks is lower their salary hold.

The problem with him waiving his trade kicker is that then a lot of other teams would be interested.

i wanted to draft him instead of luke fucking jackson, which would be awesome now. but i wouldnt trade for the guy.

First off, what the hell does that mean? Doesn't anyone read what they're typing any more?

I'm sick and tired of everyone talking about the 2010 offseason. Next year is more important then 2010. If we don't put together a roster that Lebron feels is capable of winning a title in the UPCOMING season, then we'll have all the salary room in the world in 2010 to sign another star because LEBRON WILL BE GONE. Next year is the most important year, not 2010.

As far as Josh Smith goes... I'd pass. His skillset and athleticism have unlimited potential but his work ethic and lack of a basketball IQ are preventing him from being a superstar. Have we not learned our lesson from Larry Hughes? Unmotivated players, no matter how much talent and potential, are no good. :thumbdown

I really wanted to say thanks for your comments but just couldn't. I agree with 90% of your posts alway make sense, just don't like the way you say it.

I would like it to happen as much as the next guy, but we should all know that Brian reports aren't blowing smoke. They're true, I'm sure you know that at this point... Wine and Gold has said that Brian is as close to the Cavs organization in thoughts as anybody in the league right now, let alone the world.

The trade kicker must be the problem then. And having a big contract with that length also means they're still trying to consider the future with their contracts they take in. So they can still build around LeBron in 2010.

The question is: Will it be enough cap space to be successful and get that guy in 2010? Why not go for the title right now? It's a tough decision that might also be influenced by management (Gilbert: We'll be taking there's too [2010]).

Windhorst is usually right, only thing reason you doubt him sometimes is cause youbdont know whether he's lying to keep things quiet. But that can also be wishful thinking.

I wouldn't have thought money would be the issue here though, with Gilbert and the new owners willing to reach deep into their pockets.

He didn't lie, damnit. He sent me that email... Geezus, what a way to come across to a big fan...
