Cord Phelps was a career AAAA type... Did really well at AAA, but never did anything in the majors, aka 500 games at AAA and 56 at the major league level. Hence why you don't remember him.

Though his AAA stats, it's a bit surprising he didn't get more MLB time on paper...

I actually remember him well, I always have been into our minor league teams, just as much as our Major team, I actually had hope for him , thought he had a sweet looking left hand swing, I believe injuries slow him down…..
