We lost to the Bobcats? Really? The Cavs came out flat from the start and were held to just 84 points tonight. Kemba Walker and the Bobcats were full of energy out of the gate and were able to hold the Cavs off down the stretch.
There is no reason why I should be this mad after a loss when we are just 2 games into the season, but C’MON CAVS! It’s the Bobcats. Even the Bobcats don’t like the Bobcats. That’s why they are changing their name next season. They made Bismark Biyombo look like Dikembe Mutombo.
The Bobcats came out and jumped on the Cavs right away. They know that shooting jump shots is not one of their strengths, so they were aggressive and slashed to the basket constantly. Josh MacRoberts is the secret point guard of that team. He rarely looked to score tonight and always seemed to find one of his teammates near the rim for an easy bucket. How does a power forward have 8 assists?
Michael Kidd Gilchrest might have the worst jumper in the NBA, but he can really drive strong to the hoop and create high percentage opportunities for himself. He brought a lot of energy tonight that really ignited Charlotte in the first half. If Mark Price can fix MKG’s jumper, he could be scary good.
Alright, let’s stay positive…
It’s just two games, but Tristan Thompson might be the most improved player in the NBA. The dude switched shooting hands and has actually improved his shooting. This is a guy that led the team in field goal percentage last year and still found a way to get better. TT finished with 21 points, 11 rebounds and went 9/10 from the free throw line. Everyone saw that coming, right?
