Lakers @ Cavaliers

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Good thing Sasha was kept mostly on the bench the last year and a half. We wouldn't want to have another player capable of major contributions getting consistent minutes. Thankfully the coach woke up and is finally giving Sasha a long term complete opportunity.

LeBron basically became Ira Newble in the 2nd half. Something needs to be done to stop having him stay 25-30 feet from the basket every single time down court. That's a complete waste of all the talents he possesses. Right now LeBron is showing no game within 15 feet of the basket. It's all perimeter or drives to the hoop.
A jr. high girls coach could design ways to use LeBron better.

Nice contributions from bench and role players. We continue to see this team does have players capable of solid production if they're given the chance and put into situations to allow them chances to produce. It doesn't have to be all LeBron all the time.

Another game with good effort and without any lapses over a long stretch like we see most games.

I also agree that the overhead camera is terrible. It gives a poor perspective and makes the game harder to follow.

LeBron James: 18 pts, 8 reb, 5 ast, 1 stl. 1 bl. Meaning he contributed to atleast 28 points, maybe 30+.

Get off his back. That's still a great game for 99% of the league. His numbers are down, but we are in an offensive scheme built around and not through LBJ. Brown wanted to make it so LBJ didn't have to score 38 a game to win, and he has. That being said, he still should be getting 27 every night...

What a game for Pavs. 21 points and the leading scorer in only 28 minutes. We now have 7 guys who can all contribute, with Snow being a great defensive threat. We're a much deeper team than we were last year.

I thought Lebron had 3 solid quarters in this game. He stunk in the 3rd.

Nice to get another win. Sasha is unstoppable right now. It's encouraging to see us get the win with LeBron struggling and Kobe hitting everything.

Sasha should have gotten more minutes.

I couldn't believe he only got 9 mins in the first half either. Nice call! You are brilliant...REP!:chuckles:

It only took coach 14 straight Kobe 4th quarter points to realize: "Maybe I should double the only dude scoring for that team"

That's an incredible 4 less points than what he let Wade score in the 4th the other night in Miami before the double...

We're moving in the right direction....

Sasha Pavlovic has high stock right now..

I know it's tough to say but..deal him for a PG? What if in a month he's cooled off and is back to riding pine and we're still without a big time distributor?

It baffles me since Sasha has stepped up and even Hughes is no longer is a blackhole that Lebron isn't used in the post. We're finally seeing the AV, Gooden, Sasha, Hughe, James lineup with James playing the PG. He should be used like Magic at the PG and be posted up with everyone cutting around him

What PG are we gonna get For Sasha? An All Star one? Or how about Pargo or Diener? You aren't gonna get anything of real value for Sasha. Unless someone is offering, Marcus, Rondo maybe? I don't know who I'd trade Pavs for.

Just watched the game on tivo. Down in the south I don't get to see the Cavs play every game, just the nationally televised ones, but I think that was the most fun I've had watching a Cavs game since the playoffs last year. It was great seeing them turn it on like that at the end. So many times we've seen them fold when losing the lead in the 4th, but not today.

My thoughts exactly. With Sasha and Gibson stepping up, all of sudden this team has some play makers not named Lebron. Oh yeah, and some shooters as well. It's pretty hard not to feel good after this one. Let's hope they can keep it up.

I would be more concerned if he was just firing jump shots from long distance. But he is contributing in many ways all well within his ability. He compliments Lebron better than anyone on this team and could well be his long term Pippen. Hughs, Jones and Marshall should be offered for PG and yes they would help other teams in the right situation. If no takers, then just ride it out.

Regarding MBs coaching yesterday, did any of you expect Z to come in when Bynum fouled out? There was about 3 minutes left - I really expected to see Z get up off the bench. It worked out well in the end, with AV playing a critical role in the win.

It was just a little coaching quirk whereby, if we had lost, fans may have been upset....

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Z may have been done though, as he was putting out a lot of energy. But I was definitely thinking, lets get Z in there and have him abuse Turiaf.

The announcers seemed as shocked as me. They were saying Phil could pick anyone he wanted to replace Bynum since Z was on the bench. Not sure why Brown wouldn't exploit that, especially since Z was our leading scorer at that point and typically abuses the lakers. It worked out, but it was another situation that made me wonder what Brown was thinking.

Perhaps if we could figure out why Radmonivich didn't touch the floor in the 4th, we could figure out why Z didn't.

I'm thinking there's a connection ...

btw, I was glad to see us finally put some pressure on Kobe. I do think there's a fine line there where you don't want to do it too early, and give the Lakers time to adjust.
