Mavericks @ Cavaliers

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
no not really Gibson is a fine point guard just give him a couple of years to mature into a Decent Point Guard. He has a really good shot and has ok defense the only thing he lacks is quickness and height and he need to put on some more muscle because when he drives to the whole he is pushed around like a little girl. Not to say he is not tough at all.

I think the Cavs just need to bring the energy for 4 quarters. Of course they need some help, but it's too late to add anyone.

Remember: Dallas is a hell of a club.

Gibson's role as "pg" is to dribble the ball up the court and pass it to Larry or Lebron.

He's Damon Jones, maybe a bit better on defense.

clough2009LBJ you need to lay off the wacky weed (like bill walton), drew gooden is one of the probelms with this team, he has all the physical skill in the world but is dumber than a freaking box of rocks. i mean tonight was a classic example he has pretty good stats but his overall contribution to the game was probably slim to none. specifically he takes a 19 foot jumper (and he did make it but still a bad shot) then he tries for the steal at the other end and it costs the points 3 points (all of this in 20 seconds or less). lets not forget his 10 foot jumper with a minute left, or his pass to the other side of the court

I have to echo what some others said. Once again, where was Z in the 4th? It doesn't make sense why Brown continues to ignore him late in games when it's obvious he could help and make a difference. It wasn't like AV and Marshall were exactly dominating either.

Sasha scored and shot well in the 1st half then was ignored the rest of the way.
I think Gibson was on the floor for at least 10-12 minutes before he was given his 1st shot attempt.

Not exactly the best use of talent at the offensive end.

Glad to see Snow get limited minutes and Gibson get more time. Don't know if it's only a coinsidence but the Mavs started taking a lead and never looked back right after Snow came in the game.

I expected the Cavs to bounce back tonight after the Charlotte game so it's disappointing they came out with a flat effort.

Larry Hughes is still disturbing me...these 30% shooting days are too frequent. I can't blame him for bad shot selection tonight, and he has been taking it to the hole more (although not with much success), but he is still shooting at a horrid %. That worries me for the long term, our 2nd best player cannot shoot 34-35 % every game.

Also, prime example of Avery downing Mikey B. in the coaching department: 4th quarter, Lebron has just reeled off a bunch of pts in a row at start the period. Avery brings out a 2-3 zone with a trap/double on lebron in the corners to shut him down, and Brown makes no adjustments offensively. We are stumped, and the lead that was cut to 6 was back up to double digits a few minutes later...

Also, I would love to see Sasha get a couple picks set for him ala Rip Hamilton for a simple and easy 16 footer from the elbow...we always have to make it look SO HARD on offensive

We lost again :( .. Cavs showed great game in the 1st half..
Whats happened with Hughes? He's shooting so bad ..

this game was broadcast live here in Hungary, so finally i got to see the cavs play, at the cost of some sleep.

anyways, it struck me as a freak thing more than anything. when the team couldn't buy a bucket through the entire second and most of the third - drew's missed dunk epitomized this. seemed to me they tried different things, but the entire team went stone cold at the same time. dirk was having the same problem, but the rest of the mavs were the exact opposite. their shots were going down when they had no business scoring - double teams, off balance, bad angles, hand in the face, etc. The cavs still managed to hang in there somehow, but it was obvious dallas is too good a team to let that kind of a lead slip.

oh, as for the starting lineup debate, i'm pretty sure gibson will be back sooner than later. sasha's office is really nice, he's playing with a swagger, but his defence was as ever. got torched way too much. gibson did much better, even doing a fine job dirk when got caught on a switch. it seemed like his lack of shots was not a question of his number not being called, but rather lebron, larry and drew (khm) ignoring him when he was open and taking bad shots/slashing instead.

Great game? We had stretches of non - scoring for 5+ minutes. Missed liked 14 shots in a row I believe. James/Hughes were like 2 for the century. Not sure how it was a great game for us at all. Dallas pretty much dominated us all around. We got a GIFT and I mean a GIFT to only be down by 4.
