Dear DWade,

Please call LeBron out every time you play the Cavaliers. Hell, call him out before every game the rest of the season.

Thanks,
Me

Yeah for real. Thanks Wade for getting Lebron a wake up call.

Probably the best overall game of the season besides the Spurs wins. There was only one stretch at the beginning of the 3rd where I felt we weren't playing ball, but that was quickly corrected.

Z and Drew had horrible offensive nights but the amount of offensive rebounding out there was incredible. Drew won't get credit for at least 3 or 4 extra possession he created off tip outs or team rebounds that won't count as O-boards on the stat sheet.

MB brought a plan for dealing with Wade and it worked. Rotate defenders and double fast to get the ball out of his hands, make guys like Payton and Walker shoot treys. If you don't let Wade get anywhere near the paint, he becomes much less effective.

Offensive shot selection was just on. The number of bad shots was down a lot, I think less than 10, and tonight was one of those nights where a bunch of those were going in.

Wade gets a call every time he goes in there. The best guy right now at drawing calls is Sasha. He will do some crazy spin move thing into 2 guys and put up some wild shot/layup thing but he'll get a call. Larry gets no respect whatsoever and basically needs to get injured on a play to get a foul. Lebron definately had 2 drives this game where he got absolutely hammered and ANYONE (not just a star-power thing) should have gotten those calls. Luckily, he still dunked it into Zo's face.

About Kapono, yeah, we kept Kedrick fricking Brown instead of protecting him. I don't know if hes added anything, but all he was here was a shooter (don't know why we let that go). I remember he had one huge game here for us, like 23 points or something off the bench. He could always shoot, but I'm not sure if he does anything else. What I think he's added over time was the ability to shoot it quick off screens and catch and shoots. If Kapono played for Phoenix he'd be insane. Course, maybe we got the same type of steal in Sasha, he was basically let go by Utah too.

Don't look now, but Mike Brown is closing in on getting the optimum rotation going:

Kept our starters the same, Andy and Sasha first off the bench. Snow and Marshall now coming in together...good choice, see if they develop some chemistry. Damon should probably get more than 4 garbage minutes to spot shoot, but getting the 6-9 bench situated is much more important. And what was that?? An actual meaningful defensive substitution against Shaq? (Pollard). Could that be called coaching? Yay~

Good to see Z and AV on the court together late in the game. Good things usually happen with that combo. They compliment one another.

No backcourt player got any minutes I would have given to DJ instead. Only candidate might have been Snow but he was having a great passing performance.

DJ is a misfit in an up tempo running/motion offense. Sasha and Gibson fit it much better. Let him rest up for the 3-point shooting contest.
