Modded Xbox 360

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I've had this console modded for 4 months and have been on Live a lot and not been banned. You just have to be careful when you get on. That is all.

Just to let the ppl who are interested, but also no hatting on jonmchugh, a modded Xbox 360...

- You can't play XBOX Live. If you play LIVE with a burned disc, your console will be perm banned from XBOX LIVE and you won't be able to log in ever again, unless you buy another console. But for this, I would say to unplug the Ethernet cable every time you play with burned games.
- If you do mod it, you're gonna lose your XBOX warranty.

Just to get those facts out there before someone buys it thinking they can go online...

Just FYI, this depends on a MYRIAD of factors ranging from the drive type, mfg date of the xbox, firmware used, games' stealth status, etc. I have 2 modded 360's, one running iXtreme 1.41 rev3 12x and it has never been banned (running for months, but was offline between Dec. 29 and Jan. 14 due to fear of banwave.) My other box is running the new iXtreme 1.7 LT for LiteOn drives... it's running fine (so far) on XBL everyday. Now, I only play stealthed/patched games period, so that has something to do with it. However, there are no guarantees.

Now, a JTAG mod -- that's not going online for more than 30 minutes AFAIK without getting banned.

BTW, I hear chipped drives rarely get banned if at all.

Yea you gotta be careful. 2 of my friends had modded Xboxes forever and kept telling me to get one, and I said hell nah I don't do that stuff. A year+ I'd say. Til that recent ban wave. Now they're both fucked and can't play on Live.

I have no idea how this modding business works but just saying what I know from them.

Anyways, if you don't care about Live this is a good deal I think right? No idea how much modding costs but this looks like a good deal, with all those games too. But if you want Live you gotta be careful and need some luck I guess.

I'm not sure if it's the same for 360, but for a regular xbox (modded) you can install a switch that will turn off the modchip so you can go on XBL. Or, if you happen to be banned, you can swap out the eeprom.

sorry for all of those interested but I just sold the bundle today for $275. So mods if you can, feel free to lock this thread.

Thanks, Jon
