MP3 Players.

What are you guys using? I've got a 5GB Rio Carbon and I really like it, but I would like a device with an FM tuner because I listen to a lot of talk radio.

I was checking out the Zune at Cnet and it looks pretty freaking sweet. Multiple extensions for audio playback but also true video playback and a tuner. Wi-fi as well which could be the cat's meow in a few years when more people have these things. I spend a lot of time in airport terminals so I'm frequently surrounded by hundreds of folks. You can simply connect to other users and ask for a song. Ten seconds later, it's on your player for sampling.

Recommendations?

The problems with any MP3 player other than he iPods is the lack of support. I dont know if that has changed lately as I have been out of the MP3 player market for 3 years now.

Before you go buying, make a list of the extras that you would like to hook up to on the player like, iTrip, etc... Then go and check the compatability for your MP3 player choice.

Thats what I did. I had no alliance to the iPod. But after looking at all the things that I wanted extra, I ended up coming to the iPod in the end.

PS-iPod are the easiest to use.

Zune is nice Pilot ...I own one. If you can wait a little while longer though they will be introducing a V.2 model with flash memory and a slimmer design.

I think I'm about to buy the Helio Ocean Phone...GPS Navigation, first dual slider phone, MP3 player, 3G...everything you could ever need.

i dont see how you can get anything other then an iPod, im no "apple fan" but this is the easiest thing to use. 100 million of them have been sold, they must be doing something right. and that Apple TV thing is pretty sweet as well.

and i couldnt really give 2 ****s about my phone, as long as i can recieve texts and make calls, nothing else really matters.

I have a Creative Microphoto--the thing is awsome (Christmas present a couple of years ago) and is far better than an Ipod imo, but with some many extra crap you can buy for an ipod plus Itunes it so easy to use, I've been thinking about switching. The only way you can compete with Ipod is to get a very nice/expensive MP3-Creative is probably the way to go.

When it comes to a straight MP3 device, iPod wins 100% of the time. The nano is a sweet machine. You really can't compare an iPod with a Zune as the latter is a media playback device with video, photo, and wi-fi options.

I do have time and will def wait on Zune 2.0. I checked out all of these models and then some tonight and the Zune was a little too chunky for my taste. If they trim it up, it's mine.

The Nano again, is the sh*t. That Helio looks sweet as well.

I have the 60gb ipod video. I use it everyday. I got it hooked up to the TV in my car, it's interfaced with it so I can watch the movies from my IPod, all the songs. Plus it sits in my trunk so everything is controlled in the unit, which is lovely.

ITunes is fairly simple to use, takes like 5 seconds to put a cd in and get it on the ipod. I have no beef with it at all.

And for the record I have an 80gb ipod so I'm no Apple hater. I just prefer my zune.

Thats what I use. works like a gem. Also has a sweet FM tansmitter for my car which is bad ass.
