Question about profiles

I am trying to look at my own profile and now it says this:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.


can someone help me?

This is a dumb question so I didn't feel like making a new thread. But how do I make my avatar a gif? I've seen other people who have gif avatars. Every time I try to do it the image shows up but there is no movement.

I've been wondering this myself. Tried for a while to make that bugs sawing off florida my avatar, but it's always just a still image.

I've had the same grainy avatar since 2003. I barely know what a gif is. Hopefully a member with one of those fancy avatars can jump in and explain.

Why don't I have a picture next to my name?

Press "Settings" (top right) and then "Edit Avatar" to upload an image next to your name. Note the info on the size of the picture and the max dimensions.

What happened to the little box with the five most recently created threads? Always found that to be a useful tool.
