They are made on Photoshop. I'm sure there is free trial downloads around the web.

Hello Mods,
New poster here, obviously, and I thought I'd try to set up an avatar mee-self... tho I've never done it before. I printed out the sticky "How do I add an Avatar" (is Avatar always supposed to be capitalized?), and I have a few questions before I give-up, cry like a little girl, (no offense meant to any little girls reading this), and ask a friendly Mod to do it for me.
Question numero uno- I have plenty of images stored I use on my desktop. Does an image have to be a jpeg or a bitmap?
Number B- Any of the images I've stored and would like to use exceed the 175x250 pixel moritorium (like what, there aren't enough pixels to go around, now I have to conserve pixels?). Can I use images I have stored, and how do I go about shrinky-dinking them, and what would the general URL be?
And the next to the last question- If it is no possibility to use said stored images, and I then search throught the neverending internet for just the right kodak moment... how do I shrinky-dink dat ting?

If your image exceeds the requirements, then it should get rejected by the site.
If you need to re-size images, you can do so on Microsoft Paint.
