Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Holy shit!

Wow, thank God for Depeche Mode then!

Enjoy the Silence is a GOAT song.

They still have it too, they had a great appearance on Letterman that is on YouTube:

Super sexy song.

Almost the same feel as those INXS songs, this one has a slight extra tinge of sadness.

I knew I liked you for reasons other than politics, climate, Cavs, etc

I liked their heavily produced stuff, but probably because of the amazing voice of Ann Wilson who I think has a top 5 all time female rock voice.

I'd actually put her at the top. Amy Lee has great range and tone but doesn't have Ann's power. Can't think of anyone else in their class as vocalists.

And before she's mentioned, Joplin is massively overrated. More attitude than vocal talent.

My fellow Falcon in Chrissy Hynde is pretty amazing, but yeah not Ann Wilson level. Stevie is great, but not range just has an all time rasp in her voice. I love Everescence, had to look up who Amy Lee is, Tina Turner? Debbie Harry? Maybe Debbie is elevated for me because of her open mindness with her punk background and friendship in the 70;s with Fab Five Freddie making her a pioneer with hip hop/rock fusion.

Tina Turner was a good vocalist, but her biggest talent was as a front woman. Debbie Harry had a nice voice, but i don't think she's in Ann's universe. Stevie is at least in the conversation because her voice is so different

Hayley Williams has a very good voice too. Don't like most of her stuff, but her voice is very good. Probably up there with Amy Lee.

Annie Haslam had fantastic range, but her voice was always a bit too formal for me.

Just realized I'm falling more into thinking of women who are closer to rock than just pop, so I'm inadvertently excluding a lot of women with great voices. Although I don't really listen to pop, so....

I saw Hynde open up 4 Nicks awhile back but I have to agree Ann Wilson is a juggernaut. Gwen Stefani reminds me a lil bit like Debbie Harry in the Tide is High. Also a Firestone Falcon grad myself. Just missed the Angie Everhart years

I had study hall next to Angie my freshman year, so i am just a bit older, maybe was there when you were. I was Joseph Arthurs class, knew him pretty well back then

Attitude is at least as important as pure vocal talent. Janis was a belter, some prefer prettier voices but I am not one. Love Ann Wilson's voice, though.

Ann Wilson is a force, but I have always felt Nancy is pretty damn good too. This is my favorite Heart song and such an excellent live performance IMO.
