Round 5 - Pick 140 - Dorian Thompson-Robinson, QB, UCLA

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I was listening to one of the Browns podcasts and and DTR's arm strength was discussed. Apparently he has a stronger than average arm, one of the best in his combine. I had no idea, I was under the impression his arm strength was below average. So passing downfield and deep sideline routes, etc. should not be a problem other than getting him to see them and hit them. I'm not sure how he ranked in accuracy?

I think a bigger issue is whether or not the current banged up O line can pass block long enough for deep throws.

That's an issue for almost every team in the league. I believe if you get the quick passing game going then you can sneak in some deeper drops from time to time.

That's where it becomes Stefanski's job to offset the pass rush with PA, bootlegs, etc.

The strength of our OL is up the middle and stepping up into the pocket or running should always be an option.
