Steam deck controller

I was gifted a 512gb Steam Deck controller (friend got an extra through some steam employee). Anyone have experience with it or whether other hardware addons would be useful? Or just use it solo? Any games that play well or terribly on it? Will I just get frustrated and ask my friend to give me a ps4 or something instead?

I am interested in any feedback, haven’t really played games for a cpl decades. Please treat me like a complete novice.

It is old school nirvana if you like stuff like Doom, og GTA, early everything if you can the add on packages.
A friend got one for him/me with emulator 1000's of games. Some work well, some ehh.

Honestly tho, other than messing with it for a few weeks, it's sitting collecting dust. I've been super busy, but also wasting too much time on my tablet playing Infinitode 2.

Check it out tho. It is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face when you come across some game from 10, 15, 20 years ago you played for hours on end back in your day.
