I've no doubt that the Coach prefers his motion offense to the double high post with two guys setting picks, two standing still, usually in the corners, and Lebron feelancing, usually wasting most of the time.
Otherwise, Brown would not have spent much of training camp and practice time installing it and reinforcing it.

And it wouldn't be used when Lebron sits out.

But it seems to me that Lebron likes it just fine. Or he would initiate something else.

What if Lebron was confronted with," You're a very good player, but no all-star, no MVP from 30 feet out, just another guy when shooting long jumpers?.

"Inside 15 feet you can be the most devastating force ever in the game. So get with the program young man. Give up the ball and move!"

"And by the way, I'd rather have you play 36 minutes at full speed than playing 46 and taking vacations on defense."

The response might be, "Yes sir coach. You're the boss."

More likely: |"Who are you kidding? I can buy out your contract out of my petty cash drawer with money left over for your farewell party."

"Hello Gilbert, that mean man is picking on me again. And I've been thinking about those bright lights in the Big Apple.Right near Letterman's studio. And the sunshine in LA, near the movie studios."

"What? You'll take care of it! Okay, for now, I guess".

How many people buy tickets to see the coach? How many buy Coach Brown jerseys?

Who do you think wins a showdown?

Not as easy a job as you think if a guy wants to keep it!

In a thread I started a while ago I suggested I would stay with the hot hand or hands until they cooled off.

The five that built a 12 point lead would have stayed in the game rather than the strange five Brown sent out which I only can guess he perceived was his defensive platoon.

As for not having Sasha in at the end of the game he probably figured that whatever was called Lebron was 90 percent certain to take the last shot as he reportedly did in Philly, according to the Beacon Journal, ignoring the play which was called.

In case of a five man trap he might heave a desperate cross court pass or see the big guy above the crowd.
