this is my first year playing fantasy football, im doing pretty good, but i got 2 people on my team, who are killing me.....Stallworth and Larry Johnson....should i try to trade them or keep them for the long haul? I dropped Leinart and added Favre, thats really my only big move.

Johnson is a keeper, but the Chiefs have no passing game at this time. But, he is someone you can't afford to let go, as he is a gamebreaker who could go off at any time. He still managed to get 1750 yds and 18 TDs with Damon Huard as his QB for most of the season. He started slow last season, as well, with only 1 good game in the first 5, then took off after that.

Stallworth, on the other hand, is always nursing his hammy. He has been that way, showing promise, since he was drafted, but is always hurt, and really not a factor with Moss playing how he is. At this point, he is a waste of a roster spot. You could easily find several better WR in the FA pool.

Thats what i think im going to do, i think Welker was available in my league so i may scoop him up.

The thing that makes me want to keep Stallworth is he could (almost) go off at anytime and have a nice 100 yard game.

and as i said before, and this may sound like a stupid question, but what do i do when i have a bye week? do you just not get as many points?

Welker is a good pickup, he is already showing that last year was no fluke, and even with Brady distributing the ball as well as he does, Belichick has already shown that he has a chip on his shoulder and wants to demoralize the other team as much as beat them...meaning there will be plenty of offense to go around.

Some other possible FA WR available, but nice pickups would be: Derrick Mason, Jerricho Cotchery, Santonio Holmes, Ronald Curry, Kevin Curtis, Bobby Engram, Sean McDonald, Roddy White, Nate Burleson, and Brandon Marshall.

All 3 top backs from last year suck this year...

LT is getting "Norved"

S-Jax lost Pace, and is now blocking on more plays...

LJ is the worst out of the group... Bad receivers, pathetic line, and no QB... Teams just stack 8 in the box, and LJ is automatically shutdown...And they've went away from the little swing pass that would pick up 6-7 yards a pop as well...There's no way he's gonna come anywhere near his production from previous years...

If you can get good value for LJ, I'd try to unload him now...

Hell, I have more faith in Ronnie Brown right now than LJ....

Pickup WR. Welker and WR. Marshall if you can get them... Also, RB Kevin Jones is now coming back for Detroit... He might be worth a look if available... He's certainly the best back on Detroit when healthy, and they move the ball very well...

Shaun Alexander is playing injured...I believe his wrist is now broken but he continues to play.

Steven Jackson is going to miss 2 to 3 games with a partially torn groin, so the top 4 backs are a mess, but LJ had the exact same situation last year, and he still had 1750 yds and 18 TDs. Edwards is not going to change his philosophy of running LJ into the ground with another 400 plus carries. At the current rate that backs are dropping and the way some coaches are relying on the 2 back system, LJ is still a better bet than most, as he is going to be getting most of his team's carries.

There really is no one out there to get decent value for him, especially right now, where everyone thinks he is going to get nothing. Really, the most valuable back out there right now is Brian Westbrook, with the most reliable (read consistent) being Peterson, Addai, Barber III, and Lamont Jordan. With a lot of offenses inexplicably not running the ball (I was appalled to see how few carries most backs got last week), it makes the RB position very volatile right now. But, as a caveat, Johnson has proven himself and been very consistent for the past 3 seasons, while Westbrook has always carried injury issues (but been fairly consistent), Peterson could hit the rookie wall, Addai is a 2nd year guy carrying a full load as a feature for the first time, Barber III shares carries with Julius Jones (although he is definitely a better back), and Lamont Jordan has been wildly inconsistent since joining the league.

It's really a tough choice, as well as a personal preference, but LJ has proven himself time and again, even with a poor offense.

In any case, good luck.

ya keep Larry Johnson, Unless someone is willing to give you another back that is much better. Running backs are a dime a dozen and once you let them go its hard to find one to replace.

should i trade jermaine oneal and rip hamilton for mike conley and chris bosh?

Hamilton will outperform Conley...

Now you must ask yourself who is most likely to get injured this season JO or CB4. Which is like trying to figure out who is most likely to go back to rehab Lindsay or Britney. It's anybodies guess.

I'd take Bosh both in a yearly league and a keeper league.
