Tressel ripped nationally

They are both equally over rated at this point. They both made their names with their current schools by winning with another coach's players. It's only a matter of time before fans from both schools are calling for the heads of Fat Weis and All-talk Tressel -- I'll be the first OSU alumni/fan in line to call for Tressel's head.

I agree that with this group of players, JT is overrated...but let's not go that far. Weis has one of the most storied teams in NCAA - ND always gets top recruits, and yet he can't win a meaningful game. The big 10 is down - but it's not that down.

That being said, I don't like the guy, but man does he have a positive outlook on life. He destroys his knee, and is laughing and joking afterward. Sure, he didn't need it - but that's gotta be some serious pain.

How is Notre Dame in this discussion?

How is OSU going to deal with Wells out again?

The initial report was that Pryor and Boeckman would directly split snaps this Saturday - the RUMOR, note the word rumor, is that Pryor will now get around 65% assuming the injury report is right and Wells is still doubtful.

Ohio State losing the way they did to USC was the worst thing possible for Michigan. Now UM did lose all their guys and there aren't any expectations from what I hear, other than the basic rivaly talk.

But Chris Wells now has NO chance at the Heisman (He was quoted as saying he's coming back for 2009 - this just about makes it a sure-thing), and the Buckeyes are completely out of National Title contention - the entire season is now based on crushing Michigan. Uh oh.

Yours truly is finally getting to a game - should be fun watching the future of the school.

They aren't out of the National title picture..

They lost to Illinois late in the season and still made it last year, this was only the third week. There's over ten weeks to go. There is a lot that is going to happen in the rankings, especially when half the top ten is SEC and conference play hasn't begun yet.

Yes, but after the national attention and the fact that PSU will most likely fall off without Sean Lee for the season - I'm not holding my breath. It's done by computers, but the coaches votes can have a major effect, if not just mentally. To not only lose that game but get completely dominated in every facet of the game - offense, defense, sp, coaching, mental toughness, everything - I don't see it happening. Last year I was on board and lobbyed that this team would make it (this was the famous, there's no way, 0% chance that OSU makes it to the title game speech by James) - however all things considered, JT is overrated with this group of kids.

I'm not counting this season over, like it's not like the season is already a waste - sorry, for some reason I can't put that into better words right now - but realistically, our National Title hopes are done.

Priorities for OSU
1. Beat Michigan
2. Win the Big 10 Title
3. Get Beanie to come back and groom Pryor
4. Crush Michigan

Wisky will be a fantastic game, Oct. 4th at Wisconsin. If OSU had won and Wisky had gone into that game undefeated, that really could have given the Big 10 some much needed positive publicity. After watching Illini lose to a very good Mizzou team, MSU make mistake after mistake in all of their games, etc. etc. - it's starting to pile on.

Next years team will look very, very different - so it'll be good to get some new blood and be able to metaphorically hit the refresh button.

I don't believe they deserve another nati game even if they win out this year. Maybe if pryor starts dealing like none other, but they cant hang with usc.
