What happened to chat?

Why was the chat feature removed? I thought it was a great feature and was able to have some more in depth conversations with members of this site

Is there a way to disable this for my account?

It takes my webpage about an extra 5 seconds to load. I know that doesn't sound bad, but it gets annoying after a while.

We're adding a new theme that will not have the chat bar installed for those who have slower connections and or are viewing on a mobile browser.

Until then I can remove anyone who is having a problem manually. Just post here and I'll take care of it.

I changed to the transparent ruby theme and now I can't change it back.......some of the option bottoms on the left hand side don't show up.

I had to clear cache and it worked. However, now the option to change themes is no longer there.

That was an experimental theme that was only posted for 15 seconds so I could see it in action. You just got unlucky enough to click on it. The standard "facebook" style theme is the only one we will be using with this version of vbulletin.

Picked the dark theme. If I'm stuck with, I'm pretty okay with that. Makes me feel tough every time I log in.

Also, because I have no desire to make a new topic on this (since I feel it's been asked many times) and I was somewhat reminded while looking over the LBJ topic, and also because I don't have the time before I fall asleep and forget about this question to search through every topic that popped up while searching about it, but...

What happened to negative rep? I was bored earlier and looking through the "Members" page and letting it list by different criteria: age, post count, join date, rep, whatever.

But when I looked via "rep" and flipped it so the least rep would pop up, there was one person who had two red dots. I was just curious how the hell that happened, but expected it was a one-time special circumstance.

Feel free to erase this post if this is one big secret that needs to be covered up.

Maybe an admin hated him and just brought his rep way down? Seems like the most plausible since he's the only one with neg rep, but I wasn't here forever so no idea.
