I really have been wanting to see the Sasha/Big Ben for Posey/Tyson trade. But then we use up our big trading pieces in one deal, without solving other big issues. We then are left with our MLE as a our other major pickup, but I have no clue who we could get who we would want.

What are our options with our MLE?

Maybe someone like Marcin Gortat as a fallback option for big man. Or, the person I think would be the most value for the MLE, possibly Trevor Ariza...

Sheed or Villinoevea.

We need a startin 4, bad.
we can get a backup SF in a trade or draft
we can get a starting C in a trade.

Exactly, Sheed and Villanueva can both play C and PF, and I guess you can put Charlie at the 3 if you want to go big. Either or, or both if we S&T for Charlie V would be a great offseason in my book.

i wanted sheed as well but after listening to what chris broussard said about him yesterday i hope we don't bring him in. he said that sheed is done and doesn't even want to play anymore.

With some teams feeling the pinch from the economy and others wanting to save their money or clear more money for next summer, the Cavaliers might be able to land a very good player with their MLE.
For instance, does anyone think the Knicks would match an offer to David Lee for the full MLE over, say, 3 years?
Ditto Charlie Villanueva?
The Hawks might be hard-pressed to match an offer for Marvin Williams if they can't first trade a big salary, like Josh Smith or Joe Johnson.
Make no mistake, there are going to be opportunities out there this summer for teams that are willing to spend money.

1st choice: Charlie Villanueva
2nd choice: Josh Childress
3rd choice: Marvin Williams
4th choice: Antonio McDyess
5th choice: Rasheed Wallace

Charlie for sure. He can actually score the ball. He's quick enough to defend people like Turk...and he's somewhat young...not like Sheed who's getting up there

Marvin Williams would be amazing for this team. He's only 22, and is 6'9" with the quickness to guard outside shooters (i.e. Orlando). I know he's not a banger in the paint, but he still has some time to bulk up, and lebron can drive and dish to him all day from around 15'.

I worry about Villanueva's defense, but offensively he would work well for this team.
