Will Al Horford become available by the trade deadline?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think anyone on the Hawks roster could come available but it will be expensive to get Horford. He's a good player but his best position is PF and not center. His post play has not really improved since his 1st or 2nd year in the league and as mentioned above the Hawks have had to play him out of position because of Josh Smith. Horford is a bit robotic in the post and seems more comfortable shooting further from the basket. IMO if the Cavs really want to deal a bunch of assets for an offensive big they would be better off targeting Love or Aldridge. Personally I think they might be better off to just draft Len who is the bigger body, might eventually be a better fit with Tristan and will cost a fraction of the cost during his rookie contract.

But see, there it is with the maybes again... And if you think Horford would be expensive, just imagine the price tag on Kevin Love and LaMarcus Aldridge (neither of which are even on the block as of right now anyway). The Cavs would have to give up more than Varejao and a draft pick for either.

Although admittedly, after reading W&G's assessment of Len in the 2013 draft thread, I am much more on board with the idea of drafting him than I was before. If he turns out to be even half as good as W&G thinks he will, the Cavs will be in fantastic shape going forward.
