Therefore Lebron is given a say in all team player transactions ... keeping him happy is important.

Every team trying to lure Free Agents either asks players to call them up.. or the players take it upon themselves to recruit..

I would turn it down too....if Lebron James called me and say he'll stay...while his GM and coach flew all the way to tell me i need to compete with Delonte West for a starting job.

So, its basically saying "Hey trevor, we know you were a starter on a championship team, and is already commited to Houston where you can be the man on offense with no state income tax. But, we can offer you a chance to play with Shaq and Lebron, if you COMMIT to us, but of course we can't COMMIT to you for guaranteeing a starting spot, nor can we guarantee you that Lebron & Shaq will be here after next season........we don't do it like that here, you know, we are a proud franchise and if you sign with us, you will be just like anybody, and you have to earn a spot just like anybody else, this is actually good for you.......but then Trevor, you know we are very sincere, right?"

OK. Why bother flying there and re-recruit if they don't have anything else additonal to offer??

Man...all this focus on getting a wing player...and we still end up empty handed with several marquis players that we could have really used going elsewhere.

And we still have not even come close to addressing our biggest need. Who the heck is our starting powerforward???!
